OCC HAT's foundational course to help adult leaders to take youth into the wilderness. Course includes three parts: (1) 2-day classroom w/ hands on demonstrations, (2) 1 day group hike, and (3) an overnight backpacking trek.

This course will serve as an introduction to low angle snow travel using basic mountaineering ice axe technique, with and without MICRO spikes on your boots.
