Stepping It Up

Graveyard Lakes

Difficulty:

Start your trek at the iconic John Muir Trail thru-hiker paradise Vermilion Valley Resort, along Lake Edison, and then hike up to lower and upper Graveyard Lakes for some beautiful Sierra alpine glory (and fishing!). Great trek for troops new to the Sierras and looking for a way to get started.

Skunk Cabbage Meadow

Difficulty:

Gorgeous meadow in the San Jacinto Wilderness with lot of space for scouts ... and running water most of the year!

Mission Springs on the Pacific Crest Trail, Big Bear

Difficulty:

Looking for a relatively straight forward, no permits required, kind'a place to take your scouts ... with water access most times of the year ... on the PCT? Look no further.

Mt Lowe

Difficulty:

This is a supper fun and challenging hike with a ton of CA Historical site to see.

Bridge to Nowhere

Difficulty:

Scouts love water, and this trek has lots of it!
